Vehicle Crime Prevention

Good morning Resident,

Over the last couple of weeks we have seen a rise in vehicle related crimes, including vehicle thefts. Please see advice below on how to make your property safer:

  • Keep your car keys in RFID/signal blocker pouches to prevent criminals from replicating the signal
  • Keep the keys stored away in less obvious places and away from access points to prevent them being close enough for the signal to be boosted or easily obtained by breaking in
  • Please do not leave vehicles unattended and running e.g to heat up in the morning
  • Ensuring your vehicle is not left unlocked overnight
  • Parking your vehicle so that is covered by a RING doorbell or other CCTV camera to act as a deterrent
  •
