Safer Business Action Week 📅 10th – 14th November 2025

This week, Kent Police has been working closely with local businesses to tackle retail crime and keep Folkestone safe. 

Here’s what we’ve been up to so far:

👣 Visible Foot Patrols – Officers have been out in the town centre, engaging with businesses and providing reassurance to staff and shoppers.

🔍 Drug Recovery – A quantity of suspected drugs was seized 

🛍 Shoplifting Interventions –

✔ One individual detained for theft and a banning notice was issued

✔ Multiple known shoplifters deterred from Folkestone Town Centre

✔ Three community resolutions issued for attempted shoplifting 

✔ One individual arrested for shoplifting.

These actions show the importance of partnership between police, businesses, and the community. Thank you to everyone supporting this initiative!
