Poachers Caught Red-Handed!

Whilst out on mobile patrol, PCSO Boyd and I came across an unusual scene – two males actively ferreting in a field. On closer inspection and following a conversation with both individuals, it was established they had already caught four rabbits. However, when asked, neither male could provide evidence of landowner permission, making the activity illegal and classed as poaching!

Both individuals were subsequently searched, and the rabbits were seized for evidential purposes. The Rural Task Force will be assisting with the ongoing investigation.

This serves as a reminder that rural crime, including poaching, is taken seriously and will be dealt with robustly. If you see suspicious activity in rural areas, please report it.
