E scooter guidance

Good Morning,

With Christmas approaching, we are aware that e scooters are still very popular and may be given as gifts this year. It is however still illegal to ride an e scooter in a public place.

The Government is currently trialling the use of approved rental e-scooters as environmentally friendly modes of transport in some specific locations in the UK. For the rest of the country, under current law, e-scooters can only be used on private land.

Please see the attached information, if you or a family member own or are looking to purchase an e scooter, to ensure it is being used legally.

Many Thanks

Claire
