Rural Crime Awareness Day March 20th Porcupine Pantry Penshurst Place visitor entrance TN11 8BH (what3words is tall.entertainer.armed) between 0900-1100 As part of a wider effort to address an increase in Rural Crime, Kent Police will be hosting a Rural Crime Awareness Meeting on the morning of THURSDAY 20th MARCH at PENSHURST PLACE, PENSHURST. The meeting will be hosted by officers from the Local Beat team and Community Support Officers from Kent's Neighbourhood and Rural Task Forces alongside Sussex Polices Rural Crime Team, supported by Penshurst Place Estate. This meeting will provide the opportunity to: - Meet the officers responsible for policing your local area, and speak directly with them to highlight concerns. - Gain an insight into the specialist rural crime teams working in your areas, and how they can support you in preventing and detecting crime. - Join information sharing networks to support crime prevention initiatives and understand how police can support these groups. - Develop a joint approach to ultimately reduce crime across rural locations.
There will also be an opportunity to have kit and equipment marked by Kent Police using a Police approved forensic marking technique which has been proven to deter thieves and assist in recovering stolen property.
This event will be held at the Porcupine Pantry, at the Penshurst Place visitor entrance from 9am. If you don’t specify the location, we will have people turning up to the private entrance to the main house. The postcode for the Porcupine Pantry is TN11 8BH and what3words is tall.entertainer.armed.
