Scam calls to a school

A primary school in Margate recently had a call from 2 persons. The first gentleman gave his name as Dave Bennett and thanked the school for advertising in the ‘Crime Prevention Campaign’ over the years, and that the school will be charged £295 for the service this year. He then asked if the school were happy to be invoiced for this. The Headteacher asked for the invoice to be sent through and it will be looked at.

They then had a call about 2 minutes later from Lee Walker, asking for the headteacher as she had just spoken to his colleague. He was trying to get it paid immediately over the phone. 

The headteacher advised that it  would not be paid, as they had never asked for it and for the invoice to be cancelled. He ended the call very abruptly.
