Criminal Damage New Romney

Hello all.

Unfortunately we've received reports of damage having been caused mainly at the play park in Fairfield Road New Romney.

Fire damage was caused to a swing for the disabled and is damaged beyond repair and six litter bins that are dotted around the park had the rubbish bags taken out of them and the rubbish set alight which has damaged one of the bins beyond repair.

If anyone who has CCTV and lives within the immediate vicinity of the park can check for any footage in relation to this please however, the timings of the damage being committed is unknown at this stage but it is believed to have happened sometime during the evening of Saturday 15th March as the damage was discovered on Sunday morning. I'm sorry that the time frame isn't more specific but if you could check your cameras I would be very grateful and so would New Romney Town Council.

We also received a report of bulbs and plants having been pulled up from planters outside the Methodist Church New Romney High Street and suspect this happened Saturday evening as well.

If you have any information or CCTV footage in relation to the above please email me 13183@kent.police.uk

Thank you.

Steve.
