Police Engagement at Sevenoaks Business Show

Local Sevenoaks Beat Officers participated in a successful community event, the Sevenoaks Business Show, held on Friday, 13th June 2025.

During the event, the police hosted a stand where they actively engaged with the public and businesses through ward priority surveys. These surveys sought input on the community's top three policing concerns within their residential areas. Feedback from these surveys, overseen by local Beat Officers and the Community Safety Unit, will play a pivotal role in guiding policing strategies and problem solving.

Additionally, officers distributed complimentary crime prevention materials, generously provided by the Sevenoaks District Council Community Safety Team. Officers also offered practical advice to safeguard the public from crime.

Inspector Alvey from the Community Safety Unit delivered a presentation on Kent Police strategies and upcoming initiatives specific to Sevenoaks. His address emphasised the importance of community engagement and encouraged participation in the ward priority surveys to shape localised policing efforts.

PC Nick Hubbard said "This was a great occasion facilitated by the Sevenoaks Town Team. It provided a valuable opportunity to connect directly with residents and businesses alike. Sevenoaks is a vibrant community and engaging in meaningful conversations with the public was enlightening. Understanding concerns first hand is crucial as we strive to address the most pressing issues effectively."
