Nuisance Motorbikes

Following recent reports of nuisance motorbikes in the High Brooms area , officers have stepped up patrols. Today 2 males were seen riding the below motorbike along Liptraps lane, before turning into Caley Road and going through the bollards onto Oak Road. Neither male was wearing a helmet , however they appeared to have a malfunction with the bike and officers moved to intercept them. After a short foot chase both males were located at High Brooms Train station and arrested on suspicion of theft of the bike and other offences.

The bike had been stolen in May of this year from the Tonbridge area , it was displaying false plates and these were found to have been stolen recently in Tunbridge Wells.

We would urge anyone who is having issues with nuisance bikes to always report it to us, we will always look to take action against individuals who cause a nuisance and risk putting local residents in danger due to their irresponsible and reckless riding.
