Today, between the hours of 10:30 - 11:00hrs I conducted Speed Watch duties in the area of Canterbury Road, Lydden. During this time, I observed and recorded a total of 43 passing vehicles entering the village, with just 3 of those being driven in excess of the speed limit (equating to approx. 7% of all vehicles entering that area, within the half hour timeframe). It must be noted that this is a slight improvement on previous checks, from 2025, for this road. We will continue to monitor this location to help ensure Lydden continues to be a safe place to live, work and visit. |
