Anti-social behaviour Sandwich |
||
|
Kent Police have recently received reports of anti-social behaviour in the area of King Street, Austins Lane, and Vicarage Lane, however I believe a lot more has been reported on the local residents Facebook page which has not been reported to the police.
The nature of the anti-social behaviour is groups of youths knocking and kicking front doors and running away before the occupant’s answer. On some occasions, damage has been caused to front doors which has had to be repaired.
This behaviour can be extremely distressing for people, particularly those who live alone or who are being repeatedly targeted. Our houses should be a sanctuary that we feel safe in, and we should not be taunted for other people’s amusement.
What actions are the police taking:
If you are a parent of a child of secondary school age, please speak to them about these reported incidents, and discourage them from participating in such activities. This type of behaviour described is completely unacceptable to put other people through and I hope I can count on your support in spreading the word and stopping such behaviour.

I provide updates to incidents of crime and anti-social behaviour in Sandwich through my monthly newsletters, which I broadcast on my community voice. This is a two-way communication tool between the police and the public. It is free to sign up on www.mycommunityvoicekent.co.uk | ||
