Paddock Wood Safe Haven scheme |
||||
|
Dear Residents.
I wanted to get the message out there, that on Friday 20th March 2026, myself and PC Scudder were invited to and took part in launching the ‘Safe Haven’ initiative in Paddock Wood.
Safe Havens are public-facing venues - cafés, shops, GP surgeries, salons, libraries, pubs, and places of worship - that offer a short-term place of refuge for anyone feeling unsafe, vulnerable, or unsure. They’re not there to fix everything. They simply provide a moment of calm, reassurance, or connection -and sometimes, that’s all it takes to help someone continue their journey more safely.
PC Scudder and I, along with members involved in the initiative spent time speaking to different businesses in Paddock Wood about the app and how it worked. From this time the following businesses have signed up:
John Brunt VC. Paddock Wood Freemasons Hall. Paydens Pharmacy - Paddock Wood. Babyccino. Oliver's Fish and Chip shop. Giant - Paddock Wood. The Foresters Arms.
To download the ‘Safe Haven’ app or for more information on the app please go to: https://safehavenapp.org.uk/.
If you are a business in the area, and want to sign up, please follow this link: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=rlwMQaDFmEqp7F_CT-s-2-6z5UxNuyhEowsUYb9-As5UOTlVNEFKNzAzTFNJTks5ODVTSVNTNkJTSCQlQCN0PWcu&origin=QRCode&qrcodeorigin=presentation&route=shorturl.

Kind regards, PC Connor Geelan & PC Louis Scudder. Beat Officer's - Paddock Wood. | ||||
