🚨 Rogue Trading – Know the Signs 🚨

We’re continuing to receive reports of rogue traders targeting residents across the area.

These individuals often:

🔹 Turn up unannounced offering work (roofing, driveways, gardening, etc.)

🔹 Pressure you into quick decisions

🔹 Ask for cash upfront or large deposits

🔹 Deliver poor quality work – or no work at all

✅ Protect yourself:

• Be wary of cold callers – reputable traders don’t need to knock door-to-door

• Always get 2–3 written quotes

• Check reviews and credentials (e.g. TrustMark, Checkatrade)

• Never feel pressured into agreeing on the spot

• Avoid paying large amounts in cash

👥 Look out for vulnerable neighbours, especially elderly residents who are often targeted.
