Dreamland Margate

Good Afternoon All,

Kent Police and the British Transport Police have a significant number of officers deployed in Margate today (Saturday, 30 May 2026). A major event is taking place at Dreamland, and the warm weather has attracted large numbers of visitors to the main beach. As a precautionary measure, a dispersal order is currently in place, giving officers the authority to direct individuals away from Margate should they engage in anti-social behaviour. Overall, the majority of visitors are enjoying the good weather and the hospitality the town has to offer.

Yesterday (Friday, 29 May 2026), officers dispersed more than 20 individuals from Margate and made five arrests. Two of those arrested were charged and remanded to court for Possession with Intent to Supply. One of the individuals arrested was also wanted by Nottinghamshire Police and Hampshire Police.

Kent Police are adopting a robust policing approach to ensure all residents, businesses, and visitors in Margate can safely enjoy the weekend.
