Swift response in relation to a report of stalking |

Dear Resident,
Your neighbourhood policing team responded promptly this week after receiving a report that a resident was being shouted at and harassed outside their home by a male known to them. The suspect fled before officers arrived, but thanks to proactive patrol work and local knowledge, officers quickly located him walking nearby. The male was arrested on suspicion of: Following the arrest, he was issued with a Domestic Violence Protection Notice (DVPN). This is a notice issued by a court which prohibits him from contacting the victim for 30 days. Any breach of these conditions will result in immediate arrest. If you, or someone you know, is being stalked or harassed there are things you can do to help deal with it. You don’t have to put up with this behaviour or suffer in silence: Our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of victims.
