Update - What we've been up too

Good evening Resident

Your local beat officers would like to update you with what we have been up for past 6 weeks. You may not always see us, but we do our very best to act on the information you give us as well as the problems you raise;

You said - We Did;

ASB is an issue;

1 Community protection Warning (CPW) was issued in relation to ASB and street drinking.

2 x Public Space Protection Order was given for street drinking - £70 fine

2 x Community Protection Notices (CPN) have been issued in relation to ASB & begging

1 x Arrest was made for breach of CPN

E-scooters – 

Over 10 E-scooters have been seized from Rochester

10 x S59 have been issued for ASB riding - S59's are given to anti-social riding - if 2 are given, then the police can seized the car or motorbike

2 x PSPO’s have been issued for Nuisance Vehicles - £70 fine

6 x TORs have been issued for going through red lights, no right turns, no insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with a license

Drugs;

18 x Stop and searches have been conducted in relation to drugs where community resolutions and charges have been issued to deal with the issue robustly.

We have been educating shops around the sale of items that are used for drug purposes –  educational letters have been handed out, with the view of taking action should the advice not be adhered too

Fly-tipping;

Joint meetings have been had with the police and the Environmental Enforcement Agency (EEA) and action has been taken to clean up the fly tipping and notices have been served on those who have fly tipped. The EEA is prosecuting one such offender

Day to day business;

We have arrested offenders linked to Arsons, Assaults & Shoplifting.

Joint operations have been ran successfully in relation to illegal tobacco and organised crime. 

Don't forget we run regular monthly police surgeries, the next one is on THURSDAY 25th JUNE 2026 at the BAPTIST CHURCH, CROW LANE, from 1200 - 1400 hours.
