General Community Update |

|
Good evening Residents,
Over the last month both PC BROWN and I have been very busy responding to 999 calls including road traffic collisions, shop thefts, assaults and domestic abuse incidents. On top of balancing 999 calls, we have also where we can deal with local community issues such as anti-social behaviour incidents in Aylesford, Ditton, East Malling, Eccles and Larkfield. Today we had a good result where members of the community have reported nuisance youths with catapults shooting wildlife. We quickly responded and detained the youths for a search. A catapult and 50 ball bearing were seized for destruction and the youths returned to their parents. A workbook will be completed with the youths as an educational out of court disposal.
Both PC BROWN and I also had another good result last week when we seized an electric off-road bike being ridden by a 14-year-old on the road. Although the 14-year-old was wearing a helmet he posed a danger to himself, other road users and pedestrians.
I have had several reports of e-bikes in Ditton and Larkfield over the last 2 weeks and am making enquires to ascertain the riders. I am also aware of the reports of attempt arson near the Royal British Legion site and one youth has been spoken too in connection with this while I am trying to identify the main suspect.
Please keep reporting ASB incident of e-bikes, catapults and nuisance youths as although we are balancing our time with 999 calls where possible we will respond to the informantion and intel coming in from yourselves.
Thanks
PC 30457 WARNER
