Burglary at Holy Trinity Church, Queenborough |
On Friday 10th July, I was made aware of an immediate response burglary report at Holy Trinity Church, Queenborough. Alongside fellow Island Beat Officers PC Honess, PC Marshall and PC Kinrade, as well as Faversham Beat Officer PC Tancock, we promptly attended the location to investigate. Thanks to the swift response and teamwork of the officers involved and witnesses, a male suspect was identified. Within five minutes of reaching the scene, I arrested the male on suspicion of burglary. I would also like to recognise the members of the public who reported the incident and provided information to police. The quick actions of those who contacted us, along with the valuable information they provided, played a significant role in enabling officers to respond swiftly and effectively. The male remains in police custody while enquiries continue and the investigation progresses. Incidents such as this highlight the importance of rapid reporting from the public and the commitment of local neighbourhood policing teams to responding quickly and effectively to crimes in our communities. We will continue to work proactively to keep our communities safe including the people, buildings, places of worship and safe community spaces that are at the heart of our towns and villages. Thank you to everyone who helps support local policing by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activity. If you witness anything that causes concern, please report it to Kent Police via 101, online, or call 999 in an emergency.
Thank you
PC Savage
