Successful VAWG event (Violence against women and girls) on 16th July 2026.

Good afternoon all, 

Dartford Community safety unit held a prevention of Violence of Women and Girls info-market event in Dartford Town Centre on the 16th July 2026. 

In attendance we had;

Kent Police's Dartford Community Safety Unit 

Kent Police's Child centred Policing Team

Kent Police's Domestic and vulnerable victim investigation team

Dartford Borough Council ASB team 

Dartford Borough Council housing team 

North Kent MIND

Clarion 

CGL alcohol and drug specialist support. 

We held this event in the town centre, on the long standing Market day. We had a lot of interest in the goodies and advice available and lots of positive engagement and feedback was received. Several persons asking when the next event was to be held, and even persons travelling to the event after seeing it advertised on MCV and Facebook. These events are usually held twice a year. 

A great positive message, Violence Against Women and Girls will not be tolerated.
