🚨 Beware of "Nottingham Knockers" Doorstep Callers 🚨

Good morning Resident

Yesterday evening we received reports of cold callers selling household items such as cleaning products door-to-door, this is a doorstep scam also referred to as "Nottingham Knockers", these individuals may claim to be raising money, working as part of a rehabilitation scheme, or selling goods at discounted prices. While not all callers are committing offences, doorstep traders can sometimes be linked to distraction burglaries, rogue trading, or fraud.

Crime Prevention Tips:

✅ Don't open the door fully to strangers

✅ Ask for identification

✅ Do not feel pressured into making a purchase

✅ Never hand over cash or bank details

✅ Report suspicious activity to police.

✅ Please check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may be targeted.

✅ If you see suspicious door-to-door sellers in your area, report it via 101 or online. Always call 999 in an emergency.
