Bike issues

Yesterday, officers identified a motorcycle in the Westerham area being ridden with an obscured registration plate. Upon seeing uniformed officers, the two occupants failed to stop for police and subsequently made off. The motorcycle was intercepted on Rysted Lane, where both individuals abandoned the vehicle and attempted to evade police on foot. Following a short foot pursuit, the suspects were detained by officers on South Bank.

Both individuals were arrested for a number of offences, including going equipped and multiple driving-related offences. The motorcycle was seized and removed from the road. Following interview, both individuals were released on police bail pending the outcome of further enquiries and outstanding forensic results.
