Scam Awareness Event - Come and Say Hello : Fri 06 Nov 10:30

Dear Resident,

I will be attending the Scam Awareness Event at Age UK Hythe, Lyminge & Ashford on Friday 6 November 2026, from 10:30am to 3:00pm. The event is free to attend and there is no need to book.

📍 Location: Age UK Hythe, Lyminge & Ashford, Sanford House, Stade Street, Hythe, Kent, CT21 6BD.

The event is designed to help residents learn more about the latest scams affecting our communities, how criminals operate, and most importantly, what steps you can take to protect yourself, your family, and friends. Topics will include online, telephone, doorstep and investment scams, as well as practical advice on reporting fraud and seeking support.

Representatives from a range of organisations will be available throughout the day to provide information, advice and guidance, including Kent Police, Kent Trading Standards, Age UK, and other local support services.

As the Fraud Prevention Co-ordinator for Kent Police, I will be there to answer questions, provide crime prevention advice, and discuss ways we can work together to keep our communities safe from fraud. I would love to meet local residents, community groups and partners, so please do come along and say hello.

Everyone is welcome and please share this message on to anyone that you would feel would benefit from attendance by using the share button below.
