Gorrell

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour - general.

Issued 15 October 2025

PC Clark has been monitoring reports of antisocial behaviour in Chestfield. No incidents have been reported to Kent Police, and recent engagement events have also shown no signs of nuisance behaviour, suggesting levels have reduced in the area.

PC Clark will continue to review any calls from the public to identify potential hotspot areas. Both mobile and foot patrols will continue across the ward to help deter any issues and reassure residents.

Dog fouling.

Issued 15 October 2025

We understand how frustrating dog fouling can be for local residents and how it affects our communities and environment. However, dog fouling is not a police matter. It is the responsibility of the local council, whose Environmental Enforcement Teams have the legal powers to investigate, issue fines, and take action.

Reports of dog fouling should be made directly to the local council using their official reporting tools. Any information given to Kent Police about dog fouling will be passed to the council, and the police will not carry out follow‑up action. Reporting directly to the council ensures the issue is dealt with by the right authority as quickly as possible.

E-scooters/nuisance motorcycles.

Issued 15 October 2025

Kent Police provides online guidance about the illegal use of electric scooters. PC Powell has been patrolling key areas where e‑scooter use has been reported to help deter this activity.

On 13 January 2026, officers identified the driver of a nuisance vehicle in the High Street and carried out a proactive stop. A formal antisocial behaviour warning notice was issued to both the driver and the vehicle. This means that if the vehicle is linked to further incidents, officers can seize it and take action against the driver, including prosecution.
