Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Fly tipping. Issued 15 October 2025 |
Kent Police are working with Canterbury City Council Environmental Department. In the past few months, two incidents of fly tipping have been reported. Both the Council and Kent Police are being supported by Crime Scene Officers in extracting fingerprints and DNA from the waste to identify those responsible and assist the Council in prosecution. Actioned 21 January 2026 |

Road safety issues. Issued 15 October 2025 |
PC Beatty has conducted high visibility patrolling in a marked vehicle through the villages and roads during the later hours of the evening, between 7pm and 11pm. Multiple vehicles have been stopped and checks conducted on the drivers and the vehicles to ensure they are road legal. Proactive speeding operations are planned in hotspot locations to target speeding and nuisance vehicles. Actioned 21 January 2026 |

Drink driving. Issued 15 October 2025 |
No incidents have been reported to Kent Police, however PC Beatty has been in contact with some shops and landlords to be mindful of who they sell alcohol to and if that person could potentially be driving whilst over the limit. Actioned 21 January 2026 |
