Bean & Village Park

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Off road bikes.

Issued 03 February 2026

Ongoing work with partner agencies, along with regular patrols in both marked and unmarked vehicles, has led to off‑road bikes being seized. Officers have also issued warning notices and fines under the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in partnership with Dartford Borough Council.

A PSPO is a legal order that helps councils and police deal with behaviour in public places that has a negative impact on others. It allows officers to take action, including issuing fines, where the rules set out in the order are ignored.

Further work is planned with other teams across the force to continue targeting the antisocial use of off‑road bikes.

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 03 February 2026

Coffee with a Cop events have been arranged by PC Swan, along with ward surgeries and other community engagement activity to discuss ongoing local issues.

During these sessions, officers have provided advice and guidance to residents and listened to concerns. Additional patrols have also been carried out to help disrupt behaviour that causes nuisance to others.

Actioned 31 March 2026

Fly tipping.

Issued 03 February 2026

PC Swan has been working with the local council and the borough council to identify locations vulnerable to fly‑tipping. Action has been taken to make these areas harder to access and use for dumping waste.

Work is ongoing to support the prosecution of those identified as responsible. This aims to bring to justice anyone who damages the countryside by dumping rubbish.
