Burnham
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

Nuisance motorcycles. Issued 08 October 2025 |
With support from our Tactical Operations Department, officers carried out high‑visibility patrols in areas known to be used by nuisance motorcycles. This has led to several bikes being seized and Traffic Offence Reports being issued. Underage riders have been taken home to their parents, who have then had to cover the cost of recovery for the bikes. Enquiries are also ongoing into the bike track being used in the area. Actioned 19 January 2026 |

Antisocial behaviour. Issued 08 October 2025 |
We held 'coffee with a cop' sessions and local surgeries, giving residents the chance to meet their beat officer, receive updates and get safety advice. Officers also carried out both high‑visibility and plain‑clothes patrols. This helped us identify persistent offenders and take action under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Actioned 19 January 2026 |

Fly tipping. Issued 08 October 2025 |
We have been working closely with partner agencies, including Dartford Borough Council, and enforcement action has been taken against those found to be responsible. By engaging with local landowners, we have reduced repeat offending in secluded areas by limiting access, which has in turn helped prevent further fly‑tipping. Actioned 19 January 2026 |
