Temple Hill

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 08 October 2025

PC Cooper has held several coffee with a cop sessions and local surgeries, giving residents the chance to speak with him directly, receive updates, and get safety and crime‑prevention advice.

High‑visibility and plain‑clothed patrols have helped identify persistent offenders, leading to sanctions being issued under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. We continue to work closely with local partners to reduce the opportunities for antisocial behaviour.

Dartford Borough Council is working with us to repair broken streetlights and focus on problem addresses. Where necessary, we will explore Closure Orders, which allow police and councils to restrict access to properties linked to serious nuisance, crime, or disorder.

Drug taking.

Issued 08 October 2025

PC Cooper has been working with Dartford Borough Council to identify problem addresses linked to drug use and the antisocial behaviour that often follows. Closure Orders, which can restrict access to properties linked to serious nuisance, crime, or disorder, are being explored and will be sought where necessary.

High‑visibility foot patrols in local parks and recreation areas have led to stop checks on suspicious individuals, with Community Resolutions issued for simple drug possession where appropriate.

PC Cooper has also supported our Neighbourhood Task Force during the execution of drugs search warrants. These operations have resulted in the recovery of drugs and drug‑related paraphernalia.

Drug dealing.

Issued 08 October 2025

PC Cooper has also been using his local knowledge of known drug users to focus on areas thought to be used for drug dealing. His high‑profile patrols have led to a noticeable reduction in drug activity in the area.

He has shared this information with the wider Neighbourhood Team so that officers travelling through Temple Hill from Northfleet can include the area in their regular routes. This increased police presence has had a positive impact on reducing crime and antisocial behaviour.

PC Cooper will continue working with the Neighbourhood Task Force to carry out further drugs search warrants as part of our ongoing efforts to disrupt drug‑related activity and keep the community safe.
