Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 08 October 2025

Coffee with a cop sessions and local surgeries were held to give residents the chance to speak directly with their beat officer, receive updates, and get safety advice.

High‑visibility and plain‑clothed patrols were carried out in the area. This proactive approach helped identify persistent offenders, leading to sanctions being issued under the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Actioned 19 January 2026

Fly tipping.

Issued 08 October 2025

PC Swan has been working closely with partner agencies, including Dartford Borough Council, to identify those responsible for ongoing issues in the area. Enforcement action has been taken against individuals found to be involved.

By engaging with local landowners, access to secluded locations has been reduced, which has helped prevent repeat offending and significantly reduced fly‑tipping. Officers have also carried out spot checks on vehicles seen carrying waste. Where drivers did not have the correct documentation, their vehicles were seized and they were summonsed to court, in line with legal requirements and enforcement powers used to tackle unlawful waste activity.

Theft shoplifting.

Issued 08 October 2025

PC Swan has made sure that all stores within the ward are aware of the Dartford Town Against Crime (DTAC) scheme and that they can join if they wish. While out on foot patrol, he regularly speaks with local businesses and encourages them to report all crimes so issues can be dealt with promptly.

He keeps stores updated with the outcomes of offences, helping victims understand what happens when they support police investigations. PC Swan has also been providing practical crime‑prevention advice, including how to safely deal with potential shoplifters and how to avoid confrontations.
