Little Stour & Ashstone
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Road safety issues. Issued 04 November 2025 |
We have carried out high‑visibility patrols across the area in response to concerns raised by the community. Officers have completed vehicle checks, which have led to drivers receiving advice, vehicles being seized where necessary, and offending motorists being prosecuted through either a Court Summons or a Traffic Offence Report (TOR). A TOR is a formal notice used by police to record road‑traffic offences. It can result in penalties such as points on a driving licence, a fine, or being required to attend a driver‑education course. Actioned 19 January 2026 |

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance. Issued 04 November 2025 |
We have carried out high‑visibility patrols on foot and within marked police vehicles. During these patrols we have provided education to the public, and have taken positive action where necessary and appropriate. We have also linked in with Child Centred Policing colleagues to liaise with schools and identify youths who may be involved. Actioned 19 January 2026 |
|
Highways obstruction. Issued 04 November 2025 |
We regularly attend reports of obstructions. We will assess the risk involved and what type of obstruction is being caused. On occasions, we can use police powers to remove the vehicle(s) and prosecute offenders. Where police powers do not exist, we ensure the matter is reported to the local authority. Actioned 19 January 2026 |
