Guston, Kingsdown & St Margaret's-at-Cliffe

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • patrol to deter crime and reassure the public

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Report crime

Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.

If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

  • in an emergency, call 999

  • call 101 for non-emergency enquiries

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

Issued 05 November 2025

We are carrying out regular high‑visibility patrols in the areas where nuisance antisocial behaviour has been reported. Officers are also speaking with local residents to understand who is responsible and to gather information that helps us target our activity more effectively.

We continue to encourage the community to report locations where nuisance behaviour is taking place, as this allows us to focus our patrols where they are most needed. In addition, we are working closely with local parish councils to address any persistent issues and support long‑term improvements for the community.

Drink/drug driving.

Issued 05 November 2025

Drink‑ and drug‑driving continues to be a concern for many of our rural communities, and we want to reassure residents that Kent Police is taking firm action to keep rural roads safe. Officers routinely carry out roadside breath tests and drug‑wipe tests in line with established procedures to identify impaired drivers.

Recent enforcement activity, led to more than 170 offences being identified, demonstrating our commitment to tackling those who put others at risk.

We also listen to concerns raised by local residents, farmers and rural groups. This feedback helps us maintain a visible and responsive policing presence in the areas where it is needed most. Community reporting plays a vital role in this work, information from the public helps us plan patrols, identify hotspots and direct resources effectively to keep our rural roads safe.

E-scooters/bikes.

Issued 05 November 2025

Officers are taking firm action against the illegal use of privately owned electric scooters (e‑scooters) on public roads, pavements and cycle lanes. As there are no government‑approved rental trials in Kent, privately owned e‑scooters can only be used legally on private land with the landowner’s permission. Officers are stopping and seizing illegally used e‑scooters, and some have been destroyed where necessary. Although we continue to educate riders, persistent misuse means that enforcement is now a priority to keep people safe.

Residents are encouraged to report hotspot locations so that we can target problem areas and help prevent serious accidents. These updates are also included in my monthly newsletter to raise ongoing awareness.
