Antisocial behaviour. Issued 03 November 2025 |
We have received reports of antisocial behaviour, mainly involving nuisance vehicles around Minnis Bay. PC England regularly patrols the area and has previously used unmarked police vehicles to identify offenders. A Section 59 warning under the Police Reform Act was issued to a driver seen wheel-spinning out of the car park, and this legislation continues to be an effective tool in tackling this behaviour. PC England is also working with the Community Speedwatch Team to re‑establish a group in Birchington, with a briefing event planned for this month. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Drugs. Issued 03 November 2025 |
PC England is developing intelligence following reports about certain individuals and addresses. We have a wide range of powers available to tackle drug‑related offences, including stop and search, arrests, warrants, and premises closure orders. Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices can also be used where appropriate. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Fraud. Issued 03 November 2025 |
Kent Police has received reports of rogue traders targeting residents. PC England is working closely with Kent County Council Community Warden to deliver educational sessions to local community groups. He also regularly shares advice on this type of offence through My Community Voice, parish newsletters, Birchington Parish Council social media pages, and at in‑person ward surgeries. Prevention is key, and raising awareness remains our priority to help stop residents falling victim to these scams. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
