Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Plans are in place to increase patrols and carry out more speed checks across the area, with results to be shared with the community. Recent enforcement has included an arrest following a collision involving an e‑bike where the rider failed to stop. This investigation is ongoing. High‑visibility patrols are taking place in known hotspot areas, with stop and search powers used where appropriate. Stop and search is a legal power that allows officers to search people for items such as drugs. Officers are also working with partner agencies to identify vulnerable people who may be at risk of being exploited or having their property used for criminal activity. Welfare checks are carried out at identified addresses to provide support and help prevent harm. Information from the community plays a key role in this work. Through a combination of visible patrols, engagement and enforcement, officers are working to reduce drug‑related harm and keep the area safe. Actioned 30 June 2026
