Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Our officers have increased patrols in identified problem areas and taken proactive measures. This includes issuing multiple Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices, which have successfully removed several repeat offenders from our town centres. Actioned 15 December 2025 |

Parking and driving offences. Issued 03 November 2025 |
Traffic concerns, including the way people drive and park, have been raised by residents of Sir Moses Montefiore ward. Officers have taken action to address these issues. Both PC Parsons and PC Lawford have reported drivers for speeding and driving without insurance. They have also responded to calls about obstructive parking and moved vehicles causing problems. As we approach the Christmas season, our Community Safety Team will be carrying out targeted operations with a focus on tackling drink and drug driving. Actioned 15 December 2025 |

Drugs. Issued 03 November 2025 |
Drug-related issues continue to affect people both in public spaces and near their homes. Our officers have carried out targeted leaflet drops to raise awareness of the legal consequences of drug offences. Acting on intelligence, we have visited problem addresses and conducted targeted stop checks, resulting in the seizure of drugs and vehicles linked to criminal activity. Patrols are also occurring on foot on area which have been highlighted as problem areas for drug use. Actioned 15 December 2025 |
