Shoplifting. Issued 04 November 2025 |
Our team has been working hard to help keep the area safe. We have stopped and searched people when needed, which has helped us catch shoplifters. We patrol in uniform so people can see us, and we also work in plain clothes when this helps us spot crime. We have worked closely with local businesses and the CCTV team, and together we have been able to find and arrest suspects quickly. This has led to several arrests and people being taken to court, and it also means we can make sure people get the support they need to move away from crime. Our officers have also helped increase the number of CCTV cameras in the area. These cameras link straight to the Medway CCTV Control Room, which means officers can get to incidents faster and there is now better coverage to help identify suspects. Actioned 21 January 2026 |
