Fort Horsted
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Antisocial behaviour. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in the area. This helps us find the people responsible for problems and deal with any offences we discover. We are using our antisocial behaviour powers where needed and working closely with Medway Housing. We have also issued Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices. These are tools used to stop ongoing antisocial behaviour. A Community Protection Warning tells someone that their behaviour is causing problems and must stop. If they do not change their behaviour, a Community Protection Notice can be issued, which is a legal notice that requires them to stop the behaviour or take certain actions to prevent it happening again. E-Scooter/E-Bikes. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We have been carrying out high‑visibility patrols in the area, and we are working with the local community to find out where electric scooters are being kept. This helps us identify who owns them and deal with any offences. We have issued Section 59 warnings and seized several scooters. A Section 59 warning is a formal warning given under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002. It is used when a vehicle is being driven in a way that is careless, inconsiderate, or causing alarm, distress, or annoyance. The warning lasts for 12 months, and if the same person or vehicle is involved in similar behaviour again during that time, the police have the legal power to seize the vehicle. Vehicle crime. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We have been giving crime prevention advice to help keep people safe. We are working with the community to find places where CCTV could help us investigate offences. We have also been doing high visibility patrols in areas that need extra attention. Actioned 21 January 2026 |
