Fort Pitt
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Drug possession. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We have been carrying out extra patrols in the areas that need it most. Some officers are in plain clothes, while others are in high‑visibility uniform so they can be easily seen. When needed, we are stopping and searching people and dealing with any offences we find. Actioned 21 January 2026 |

Alcohol. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We are carrying out high‑visibility patrols so people can see us in the area. We are working closely with the Towns Team to deal with problems quickly. We are using our antisocial behaviour powers when needed, which includes giving warnings and notices, and making arrests where this is the right action to take. We are also working with partner organisations to support people who want help to move away from alcohol use. Actioned 21 January 2026 |
|
Road safety issues. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We are patrolling the area to help keep people safe and are dealing with any offences we find, including issuing traffic reports and Section 59 warnings for dangerous or antisocial driving. A Section 59 warning is a formal notice given under the Police Reform Act 2002 when a vehicle is driven in a way that is careless, inconsiderate, or causes alarm, distress, or annoyance. The warning lasts for 12 months, and if the same person or vehicle is involved in similar behaviour again, the police can seize the vehicle. We are also working with our partner groups to support the community. Actioned 21 January 2026 |
