Higham
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Road safety issues. Issued 09 October 2025 |
We have been working hard to improve road safety in the area. Speed checks have been carried out with support from the Roads Safety Unit and Old Hadlow Road has been patrolled when possible, particularly during busy rush-hour periods. These efforts are aimed at keeping our roads safe for everyone. Actioned 14 January 2026 |

Vehicle crime. Issued 09 October 2025 |
We have been carrying out regular foot patrols and checks in the area to provide a visible presence and deter crime. Stop searches have been conducted to help find suspects involved in local issues. Updates have also been shared through our local message system, My Community Voice to keep people who live here informed. Our goal is to work proactively to keep the neighbourhood safe and residents reassured. Actioned 14 January 2026 |

E-scooters/E-bikes. Issued 09 October 2025 |
Education around e-scooters is really important because using them on public roads and pavements is not allowed. When we see young people with e-scooters, we take the opportunity to speak with them and explain the rules to keep everyone safe. We also contact parents to make sure they understand the law and encourage them to make responsible choices. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
