Trench
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive
Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.
Report crime
Please do not contact neighbourhood officers to report crime.
If it's not an emergency, the easiest way to contact us is online. Your report will be sent direct to our control room where it will be reviewed by the same team who answer our calls.

Local Priority Issues
| Priority | Action taken |
|---|---|
|
Antisocial behaviour - general. Issued 12 November 2025 |
Regular patrols have been carried out in areas known for nuisance activity and stop searches have been conducted where necessary to address these concerns. Our aim is to make these spaces safer and more enjoyable for everyone. We continue to engage with the community and encourage those who live here to report any issues so we can help promptly. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
E-scooters. Issued 12 November 2025 |
We know that e‑scooters are being used in the area, but it is important to remember they are not allowed on public roads or pavements. To keep people safe, officers regularly speak with young people seen using them to explain the rules and why they are in place, and we also inform their parents. These conversations help raise awareness and support safer behaviour in the community. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
|
Noise disturbance. Issued 12 November 2025 |
We understand that noise issues can be frustrating for people who live here. While most noise complaints are handled by the council or environmental health teams, we work closely with these partner agencies to make sure a joined-up approach is taken. Where right, we can take action such as issuing community protection warnings to help resolve ongoing problems. By working together, we aim to keep our neighbourhoods peaceful and enjoyable for everyone. Actioned 14 January 2026 |
