Borough Green & Platt

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.

Our officers will:

  • hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns

  • work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups

  • tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability

  • build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Neighbourhood policing is a key part of Kent Police’s commitment to being community-focused, visible, and responsive.

Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

Antisocial behaviour.

Issued 09 October 2025

Officers have been carrying out foot patrols around areas where antisocial behaviour happens to try and stop it. We have met with local businesses and the Parish Council to talk about the problems. Two people who were causing trouble by using catapults and damaging property have been identified and interviewed. Officers have also talked to others who might be involved. This gave officers the chance to explain the law and help stop future problems.

Criminal damage.

Issued 09 October 2025

In Borough Green, some people were breaking things with catapults. Police spoke to the people affected and local businesses. They found the people responsible and dealt with them. Because of this, there are now fewer incidents like this.

Road safety issues.

Issued 09 October 2025

Residents and Parish Councils raised concerns about speeding through small villages. In response, officers targeted these areas with high‑visibility patrols, traffic stops and static speed checks. This proactive approach has led to several prosecutions and provided much‑needed reassurance to the communities affected.
