Hawkhurst, Sandhurst & Benenden
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is made up of Kent Police beat officers who are dedicated to keeping your community safe. They focus on preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, responding to local concerns, and building strong relationships with residents, community groups and local businesses.
Our officers will:
patrol to deter crime and reassure the public
hold regular engagement activities in the area, including attending community meetings to share advice and listen to concerns
work with partner agencies including councils, schools, charities, and local groups
tackle issues like antisocial behaviour, repeat offending, and vulnerability
build trust by being visible, approachable, and responsive

Officers continue to carry out patrols in rural areas and respond to concerns raised by residents regarding speeding, inconsiderate driving and vehicle-related antisocial behaviour. High-visibility patrols and roadside checks help deter offending, identify those committing offences and provide reassurance to local communities. Actioned 21 July 2026 |

Reducing antisocial behaviour remains a priority for neighbourhood officers working across the Hawkhurst, Sandhurst and Benenden areas. Officers continue to carry out patrols in locations where concerns have been raised about nuisance behaviour, vehicle-related antisocial behaviour and activity that negatively affects residents' quality of life. Catapults. Issued 21 April 2026 |
Officers continue to respond proactively to reports involving the misuse of catapults. Where individuals have been identified, appropriate action has been taken through criminal investigations, alongside engagement with parents or guardians where suitable. The misuse of catapults can cause harm to wildlife, damage property and create fear within the community, and reports of this nature are taken seriously. Actioned 21 July 2026 |
